Very expected game in Budapest where 10th ranked Vasas Akademia (4-9) was crushed by second ranked Atomeromu (12-1) 71-52. Atomeromu outrebounded Vasas Akademia 43-32 including 28 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. International forward Cyesha Goree (191-93, college: Michigan) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and naturalized Serbian center Sara Krnjic (191-91) supported her with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Even 8 points and 10 rebounds by forward Eszter Madar (186-2) did not help to save the game for Vasas Akademia. Bosnian power forward Sara Heljic (193-0) added 10 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Atomeromu maintains second position with 12-1 record behind leader Sopron. Vasas Akademia at the other side dropped to the ninth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Cegledi. Atomeromu will play against Ujbuda (#7) in Budapest in the next round where they are favorite. Vasas Akademia's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Budapest to the arena Csata.
