Regular Season Round 15: Atomeromu - Ujbuda 85-61

There was no surprise in Szekszard where 7th ranked Ujbuda (6-8) was crushed by second ranked Atomeromu (13-1) 85-61 on Sunday. Atomeromu dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Ujbuda's 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Ujbuda's players. It was a great evening for the former international forward Livia Gereben (183-99) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. The former international point guard Agnes Studer (170-98) helped adding 18 points. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Timea Czank (177-86) with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and British power forward Shequila Joseph (190-95, college: Ole Miss) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Atomeromu have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-1 record behind leader Sopron. Loser Ujbuda keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with TFSE-MTK. Atomeromu will meet TFSE-MTK (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Ujbuda will play against the league's leader Sopron and hope to secure a win.
