Regular Season Round 12: MBA - Dynamo M. 108-77

Very expected game when 9th ranked Dynamo Moscow (4-8) was crushed on the road by third ranked MBA (9-3) 108-77 on Wednesday. MBA dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Dynamo Moscow's 30. MBA forced 26 Dynamo Moscow turnovers and had a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. MBA looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 21 passes made by Dynamo Moscow's players. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Alexandra Stolyar (180-92) who scored 19 points and 4 assists. Maria Korshakova (173-92) chipped in 16 points and 7 assists. Four MBA players scored in double figures. MBA's coach Aleksandr Diracujan felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Julia Poluyanova (187-92) who recorded 21 points and 5 rebounds and guard Maria Savina (188-88, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively. MBA maintains third position with 9-3 record having just three points less than leader UMMC. Dynamo Moscow lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Samara. MBA will meet Spartak Vidnoye (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Dynamo Moscow will play against Samara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
