Regular Season Round 16: PVSK-Veolia - Hubner NBS 93-85

There was a minor upset in Pecs where 10th ranked Hubner NBS (6-10) was defeated by twelfth ranked PVSK-Veolia (6-9) 93-85 on Wednesday. PVSK-Veolia looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Hubner NBS's players. Serbian center Veljko Brkic (206-95) fired a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90, agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. PVSK-Veolia's coach Dragan Aleksic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Nigel Johnson (185-95, college: Virginia, agency: Inception Sports) produced 24 points and 6 assists and his fellow American import guard CJ Bryce (196-96, college: NC State) added 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. PVSK-Veolia moved-up to tenth place. Hubner NBS lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. They share it with OSE Lions. PVSK-Veolia will meet higher ranked Duna Aszfalt (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hubner NBS will play against Alba and hope to secure a win.
