Regular Season Round 12: Villars - Pully 82-70

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Pully (5-6) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Villars (8-3) 82-70 on Friday. Villars outrebounded Pully 40-22 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American center Larry Slaughter (203-92, college: Montevallo) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Kosovan point guard Etrit Dibrani (180-96) chipped in 16 points and 8 assists. Four Villars players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Algerian-French Ilian Nessaibia (183-3) who recorded 18 points and swingman Andres Rodriguez (195-88) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Villars have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 8-3 record. Loser Pully dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. Villars will meet at home Sion (#8) in the next round. Pully will play against the league's second-placed Vevey Riviera and hope to secure a win.
