No shocking result in a game in Kecskemet where seventh ranked Duna Aszfalt (9-8) edged 10th ranked PVSK-Veolia (6-10) 91-89 on Saturday. American guard Xavier Pollard (193-91, college: Kent St.) stepped up and scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Serbian center Rastko Dramicanin (208-86) chipped in 22 points. Serbian center Veljko Brkic (206-95) responded with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90, agency: 011 Sports) scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Duna Aszfalt and four PVSK-Veolia players scored in double figures. PVSK-Veolia's coach Dragan Aleksic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Duna Aszfalt moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Kaposvari. Loser PVSK-Veolia dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. Duna Aszfalt will meet OSE Lions (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. PVSK-Veolia will play against Alba in Szekesfehervar and hope to secure a win.
