The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Chevakata as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Chevakata smashed 9th ranked Sparta&K-2 V in Vologda 85-50. Chevakata forced 21 Sparta&K-2 V turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Chevakata especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Sparta&K-2 V's players. Center Ekaterina Terekhova (188-90) fired 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Ekaterina Genadieva (183-96) chipped in 13 points. Four Chevakata players scored in double figures. Center Elizaveta Andreeva (187-1) produced 11 points and 8 rebounds and guard Sabrina Dovnar-Zapolskaia (169-3) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chevakata have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Sparta&K-2 V lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 14 games lost. Sparta&K-2 V will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Chevakata will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Sparta&K-2 V in Vidnoye.
