Very expected game when 10th ranked Monthey (2-11) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Neuchatel (7-5) 80-71. Neuchatel made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Naturalized Dominican point guard Bryan Colon (181-92) notched 30 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and international guard Selim Fofana (193-99) supported him with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Neuchatel players scored in double figures. Even 32 points by international guard Clayton Le Sann (193-95, college: Holy Cross) did not help to save the game for Monthey. American forward Jalen Hayes (201-95, college: Oakland) added 17 points and 11 rebounds for the hosts. Neuchatel moved-up to third place, which they share with Nyon. Monthey at the other side stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Neuchatel will play against Starwings (#8) in Basel in the next round where they are favorite. Monthey will play at home against the league's second-placed Massagno and hopes to get back on the winning track.
