Regular Season Round 27: MBA-2 - Kazanochka 62-78

Rather expected game in Moscow where 6th ranked MBA-2 (12-13) was defeated by fourth ranked Kazanochka (15-8) 78-62 on Saturday. Kazanochka looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Dayana Hernandes (187-99) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Xeniya Sharova (178-98) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. Four Kazanochka players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Ekaterina Koshechkina (189-2) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and Ekaterina Evdokimova (176-0) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Kazanochka. They maintain fourth place with 15-8 record. MBA-2 lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 13 games lost. Kazanochka will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. MBA-2 will play again against Kazanochka (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
