Regular Season Round 13: Levaux - Morges-Saint-Prex 77-106

No shocking result in a game in Vevey where fourth ranked Morges-Saint-Prex (9-2) smashed 8th ranked Levaux (3-8) 106-77 on Sunday. Morges-Saint-Prex dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Levaux's 34. They outrebounded Levaux 58-31 including a 42-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American Marquel Beasley (196, college: Fort Lewis) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Guinean power forward Mohamed Souare (200-92) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Derek Winston (185-87) responded with 24 points and point guard Arben Hoxha (182-94) scored 14 points, 5 assists and 6 steals. Four Levaux players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Morges-Saint-Prex moved-up to third place. Levaux lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Sion. Morges-Saint-Prex will meet Sion (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Levaux will have a break next round.
