Regular Season Round 14: UMMC - Dynamo M. 111-56

PBL top team - UMMC (14-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Dynamo Moscow (5-9) in Yekaterinburg 111-56. UMMC dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Dynamo Moscow's 30 and made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. UMMC forced 19 Dynamo Moscow turnovers and had a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Dynamo Moscow's players. UMMC brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. Spanish swingman Alba Torrens (188-89) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Hungarian-American guard Allie Quigley (178-86, college: DePaul) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots) during the contest. Four UMMC players scored in double figures. UMMC's coach Miguel Mendez felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Anna Pozdnyakova (180-0) responded with 16 points and American center Khaalia Hillsman (197-96, college: Texas A&M) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. UMMC have an impressive 14-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-0 record. Dynamo Moscow at the other side keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. UMMC will play against bottom-ranked Spartak Noginsk (#12) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Dynamo Moscow will play against Spartak Vidnoye and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
