Regular Season Round 18: Atomeromu - Uni Gyor 75-67

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Szekszard. Second ranked Atomeromu faced 3rd ranked Uni Gyor. Host Atomeromu (16-1) defeated guests from Gyor (11-5) 75-67. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Uni Gyor. 28 personal fouls committed by Uni Gyor helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Livia Gereben (183-99) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. International forward Cyesha Goree (191-93, college: Michigan) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Jordin Canada (168-95, college: UCLA) who recorded 19 points and 5 assists and her fellow American import forward Beatrice Mompremier (193-96, college: Miami, FL) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Uni Gyor's coach Dalma Ivanyi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Atomeromu have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Sopron. Uni Gyor at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. They share the position with PEAC. Atomeromu is looking forward to face PEAC (#4) in Pecs in the next round. Uni Gyor will play at home against TFSE-MTK and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
