Seventh-ranked Apollon (5-8) gave a tough game to first ranked AEK Larnaca (11-2) in Limassol on Tuesday. The visitors from Larnaca managed to secure only three-point victory 87-84. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-84. Strangely Apollon outrebounded AEK Larnaca 35-22 including 25 on the defensive glass. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. AEK Larnaca have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-2 record, which they share with Apoel. Apollon at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with AEL and APOP.
