Regular Season Round 28: Dynamo-MGTU - Tambov 78-96

Leader Tambov delivered the twenty first victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Dynamo-MGTU (13-13) 96-78 in Maykop. Tambov dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Dynamo-MGTU's 38. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Roman Balandin (205-97) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 8 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Forward Vladislav Bobrovskikh (201-96) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Tambov players scored in double figures. Power forward Rostislav Karenin (204-94) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Vladimir Chichaykin (186-91) added 19 points in the effort for Dynamo-MGTU. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tambov maintains first position with 21-5 record. Dynamo-MGTU at the other side dropped to the seventh place with 13 games lost. Tambov will play against Dynamo STV (#10) in Stavropol in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dynamo-MGTU will play at home against Mitsu B. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
