VTB-Youth League top team - MBA-2 (22-7) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat tenth ranked Avtodor-2 (9-20) in Saratov 91-77. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 28-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. MBA-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Guard Nikita Mozharovskiy (184-3) stepped up and scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and center Maksim Savchenko (208-4) chipped in 18 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Andrey Ivanov (199-3) responded with 20 points and forward Andrey Fedorov (198-3) scored 11 points. Five MBA-2 and four Avtodor-2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MBA-2 maintains first place with 22-7 record. Avtodor-2 lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 20 games lost. MBA-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Avtodor-2 will play again at home against the league's leader MBA-2 (#1) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
