Regular Season Round 17: Swiss Central - Neuchatel 75-82
Date: February 5, 2022
Everything went according to plan in Luzern where third ranked Neuchatel (10-6) beat 7th ranked Swiss Central (6-9) 82-75 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Selim Fofana (193-99) who scored 24 points. Naturalized Dominican point guard Bryan Colon (181-92) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Antwoine Anderson (187-95, college: UConn) produced 19 points and 4 assists and Cameroonian forward Harding NaNa (203-81, college: Delaware) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Swiss Central players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Neuchatel maintains third place with 10-6 record having five points less than leader Fribourg. Newly promoted Swiss Central keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Neuchatel will meet Lugano (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Swiss Central will play against the league's second-placed Massagno and hope to secure a win.
