The game in was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Apoel (14-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Anorthosis (7-10). Apoel defeated Anorthosis 102-86. Anorthosis was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Apoel made 18-of-19 charity shots (94.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Anorthosis turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American guard Dayon Griffin (196-95, college: UCF) stepped up and scored 24 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Nigerian-American forward Emmanuel Omogbo (203-95, college: Colorado St., agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. Five Apoel players scored in double figures. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with AEL. Apoel will play against APOP (#10) in Paphou in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Anorthosis will play at home against Achilleas K. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
