The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked AEK Larnaca (14-3) on the court of fifth ranked E.N. Paralimni on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by E.N. Paralimni 73-69. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of AEK Larnaca. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But AEK Larnaca won third quarter 29-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 25 personal fouls committed by AEK Larnaca helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward DeAndre Dickson (206-92, college: WWU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Eric McClellan (193-93, college: Gonzaga) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. The former international guard Iakovos Panteli (187-85) answered with 14 points and 5 assists and American guard Quentin Snider (188-95, college: Louisville, agency: GoEmpire Group) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for AEK Larnaca. Four AEK Larnaca players scored in double figures. E.N. Paralimni (10-7) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Omonia. Defending champion AEK Larnaca still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with Apoel. E.N. Paralimni is looking forward to face Apollon (#6) in Limassol in the next round. AEK Larnaca will play at home against Etha (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
