Regular Season Round 33: Khimki-2 - Enisey-2 90-57

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Khimki-2 as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Khimki-2 smashed 12th ranked Enisey-2 at home 90-57. The game without a history. Khimki-2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Enisey-2's 32. They outrebounded Enisey-2 37-12 including a 25-9 advantage in defensive rebounds. Khimki-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Enisey-2's players. The best player for the winners was forward Pavel Gankevich (201-3) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Armenian forward Alexey Chizhenok (200-1) chipped in 18 points. Khimki-2's coach Ilya Rodionov felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Alexandr Yermakov who recorded 19 points and forward Dmitriy Ivanov (196-1) added 10 points respectively. Khimki-2 (24-9) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Enisey-2 lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games. Enisey-2 will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Khimki-2 will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Enisey-2 in Krasnoyarsk.
