Regular Season Round 15: ENAD - AEL 59-69

An exciting game was played in Nicosia. First ranked AEL faced 4th placed ENAD. Guests from Limassol (12-3) defeated host ENAD (5-9) 69-59. The game was mostly controlled by AEL. ENAD managed to win third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Anthia Papadouri (168-93) who scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international swingman Petra Orlovic (178-90) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists. Four AEL players scored in double figures. AEL's coach Pantelis Konstantinou used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Filipino guard Gabi Bade (173-96, college: Sacramento St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Natia Athanasiou (173-95) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively. AEL maintains first place with 12-3 record, which they share with Anorthosis. ENAD at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost.
