We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Pecs where 12th ranked ZTE KK (7-16) was defeated by thirteenth ranked PVSK-Veolia (7-15) 77-68 on Wednesday. PVSK-Veolia made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for center Gergo Meleg (208-2000) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds. American point guard Samajae Haynes-Jones (183-1996, college: Wichita St.) helped adding 21 points and 4 assists. American guard Deondre Parks (185-1992, college: S.Dakota St., agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 13 points and 5 assists and the other American import forward Jordan Barnett (201-1995, college: Missouri) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. PVSK-Veolia moved-up to twelfth place. Loser ZTE KK dropped to the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. PVSK-Veolia will meet at home higher ranked OSE Lions (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ZTE KK will play against Alba and hope to secure a win.
