Apollon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Michael Finke (208-1996, college: GCU, agency: Players Group) fired 30 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Mike Holton Jr (186-1990, college: St.Michael's) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Finke is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Apollon players scored in double figures. Apollon's coach Panayiotis Yiannaras felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Apollon. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Omonia. Etha lost their third game in a row.
