Regular Season Round 19: Neuchatel - Boncourt 80-59
Date: February 19, 2022
Rather expected game when 6th ranked Boncourt (7-11) was smashed on the road by third ranked Neuchatel (12-6) 80-59 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Selim Fofana (193-1999) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 7 assists. Naturalized Dominican point guard Bryan Colon (181-1992) accounted for 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Five Neuchatel players scored in double figures. The former international center Nemanja Calasan (206-1985, college: Purdue) came up with 12 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Brent Jackson (193-1994, college: Columbus St.) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Boncourt in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Neuchatel. They maintain third place with 12-6 record having five points less than leader Fribourg. Loser Boncourt dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost.
