Regular Season Round 16: Anagennises - ENAD 83-61

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Anagennises as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Anagennises smashed 4th ranked ENAD in Limassol 83-61. The game was mostly controlled by Anagennises. ENAD managed to win third quarter 17-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Anagennises outrebounded ENAD 52-25 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by ENAD's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 24 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Naturalized Bulgarian power forward Styliana Velinova (192-2000) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Anagennises' coach Iraklis Pittakas felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Filipino guard Gabi Bade (173-1996, college: Sacramento St.) replied with 32 points and 8 rebounds and forward Popi Frageskou (172-1987) added 11 points in the effort for ENAD. Anagennises (12-3) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with AEL and Anorthosis. ENAD at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost.
