The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Samara-2's (7-29) home victory over bottom-ranked Enisey-2 (4-28) 77-67 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Samara-2. Enisey-2 managed to win third quarter 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Enisey-2 to just 7 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Enisey-2 46-24 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Samara-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Enisey-2's players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Maxim Vlasov (203-2002) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds and forward Alexander Kalashnikov (196-2002) who added 13 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Samara-2 players scored in double figures. Samara-2's coach Milan Kotarac used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was point guard Yaroslav Zaporozhets (183-2002) with 25 points and forward Andrey Doroshevich (197-2003) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Samara-2 maintains eleventh position with 7-29 record. Enisey-2 lost seventeenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 28 lost games. Samara-2 will again meet at home bottom-ranked Enisey-2 (#12) in the next round. Enisey-2 will have a break next round.
