Regular Season Round 21: PEAC - Uni Gyor 78-62

The game between third ranked Uni Gyor (13-6) and fourth ranked PEAC (13-6) was the most important one in the last round on Monday night. Uni Gyor was defeated by PEAC in Pecs 78-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Uni Gyor. PEAC made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Uni Gyor 40-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international center Virag Kiss (195-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. American swingman Tyaunna Marshall (175-1992, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 18 points. Four PEAC players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Beatrice Mompremier (193-1996, college: Miami, FL) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and the other American import point guard Jordin Canada (168-1995, college: UCLA) added 12 points and 8 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. PEAC moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Uni Gyor. PEAC is looking forward to face Csata (#6) in Budapest in the next round. Uni Gyor will play at home against Cegledi and is hoping to win this game.
