An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Syktyvkar. Third ranked MBA faced one of their biggest challengers Nika. Guests from Moscow (15-3) defeated host Nika (11-7) 74-57. The former international center Nina Glonti (188-1997, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Elena Kirillova (185-1986, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) contributed with 13 points for the winners. MBA's coach Aleksandr Diracujan allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. International power forward Raisa Musina (191-1998) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Varvara Psareva (192-1985) added 11 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Nika. MBA have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 15-3 record having seven points less than leader UMMC. Nika at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. MBA will play against league's leader UMMC in Yekaterinburg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nika will play on the road against the league's second-placed Dynamo Kursk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
