Very predictable result when third ranked Keravnos (16-3) rolled over bottom-ranked ENAD (1-18) in Strovolos 90-44 on Sunday. The game without a history. Keravnos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ENAD to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Keravnos held ENAD to an opponent 20.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.4 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded ENAD 65-29 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Keravnos looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by ENAD's players. The winners were led by guard Deondre Burns (190-1997, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and international forward Ioannis Pasiali (202-1997) supported him with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Four Keravnos players scored in double figures. Even 8 points and 11 rebounds by the former international power forward Christos Panayiotou (197-1991) did not help to save the game for ENAD. Antreas Vlachos added 10 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Keravnos have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Apoel. ENAD lost thirteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 18 lost games. Keravnos will meet Achilleas K. (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. ENAD will play against the league's leader AEK Larnaca (#1) and hope to win that game.
