The game between third ranked Metallurg MGN (24-11) and fourth ranked Rusichi K. (21-14) was the most important one in the last round on Tuesday night. Metallurg MGN was defeated by Rusichi K. in Kursk 82-97. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Metallurg MGN. Rusichi K. forced 19 Metallurg MGN turnovers and outrebounded them 43-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for forward Semen Shashkov (205-1989) who led his team to a victory with 25 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Belarusian guard Ivan Aladko (193-1995) contributed with 22 points and 8 assists for the winners. Guard Sergey Rasskazov (195-1992) answered with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Vladislav Ilinov (182-1999) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Metallurg MGN. Metallurg MGN's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rusichi K. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 21-14 record. Metallurg MGN at the other side keeps the third position with 11 games lost. Rusichi K. are again looking forward to face higher ranked Metallurg MGN (#3) in Chelyabinsk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
