Regular Season Round 21: ENAD - AEK Larnaca 60-107

OPAP Basket League top team - AEK Larnaca (18-3) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked ENAD (1-19) in Nicosia 107-60. The game without a history. AEK Larnaca led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ENAD to just 7 points in first quarter. They outrebounded ENAD 47-33 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. AEK Larnaca looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by ENAD's players. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Andreas Sizopoulos (190-1983) who scored 40 points (!!!). Australian forward Jesse Hunt (203-1997, college: EWU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four AEK Larnaca players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard George Frageskou (182-1990) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and Alexandros Panagides added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. AEK Larnaca have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 18-3 record. ENAD lost fourteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 19 lost games. AEK Larnaca will meet at home league's second-placed Keravnos in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. ENAD will play against Apollon (#6) in Limassol and hope to win that game.
