Everything went according to plan in Omsk where second ranked Neftyanik (28-10) outscored 10th ranked Spartak SP (9-29) 88-68. Neftyanik dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak SP's 34. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Spartak SP's players. It was an exceptional evening for forward Marina Sheveleva (183-1989) who led the winners and scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Power forward Elizaveta Zaytseva (188-1996) accounted for 13 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Neftyanik's coach Elena Lazutkina used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Ekaterina Krylova (173-2000) came up with 25 points and forward Diana Popova (183-1997) added 18 points respectively for Spartak SP in the defeat. Neftyanik have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain second place with 28-10 record having just three points less than leader Dynamo-Farm. Spartak SP lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 29 games lost. Neftyanik will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
