There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Rostov (3-15) crushed at home 8th ranked Dynamo NR (8-12) 96-48 on Sunday. Rostov made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game, while Dynamo NR only scored 0 point from the stripe. Rostov forced 22 Dynamo NR turnovers and outrebounded them 40-25 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Rostov especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Dynamo NR's players. Power forward Ekaterina Gunchenko (186-1998, agency: LBM Management) nailed 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and guard Ekaterina Voronina (175-2002, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Rostov players scored in double figures. Natalya Potemina (185-1988) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and center Darya Kosulnikova (192-1999, agency: LBM Management) added 2 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Dynamo NR in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
