Rather predictable result in Szekesfehervar where sixth ranked Alba (14-11) edged 9th ranked OSE Lions (11-14) 85-82 on Saturday. Alba shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Lenzelle Smith Jr (193-1991, college: Ohio St.) fired 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import Shaheed Davis (206-1994, college: UCF) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Alba's coach Matthias Zollner used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Slovakian point guard Mario Ihring (192-1998, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 18 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and American guard Omar Calhoun (198-1993, college: UConn) added 23 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four OSE Lions players scored in double figures. Alba have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser OSE Lions dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. Alba will meet at home Szedeak (#8) in the next round. OSE Lions will play against the league's second-placed Szolnok and hope to secure a win.
