Regular Season Round 45: Khimki-2 - Parma-2 95-92

Eighth-ranked Parma-2 (18-24) gave a tough game to second ranked Khimki-2 (32-12). Khimki-2 managed to secure only three-point victory 95-92. However their fans expected much easier game. Khimki-2 players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Armenian forward Alexey Chizhenok (200-2001) nailed a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 6 assists (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winning side and forward Pavel Gankevich (201-2003) accounted for 16 points. Khimki-2's coach Ilya Rodionov allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Vladislav Perevalov (190-2001) came up with 28 points and point guard Konstantin Klementiev (180-2002) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Parma-2 in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Khimki-2 have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 32-12 record behind leader MBA-2. Parma-2 at the other side keeps the eighth position with 24 games lost. Khimki-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Parma-2 will play on the road against Unics-2 (#7) in Kazan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
