Ninth-ranked MBA Moscow (12-16) was very close to win a game against fourth ranked Irkut (18-10) in Irkutsk on Sunday. Irkut managed to secure only one-point victory 83-82. However their fans expected much easier game. Irkut made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game, while MBA Moscow only scored eleven points from the stripe. Irkut looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Ruslan Abdulbasirov (211-1993) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Forward Dmitry Korshakov (201-1991) accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Daniil Kasatkin (200-1999, college: Penn St.) came up with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Daniil Kochergin (207-1999, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for MBA Moscow in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Irkut. They maintain fourth place with 18-10 record. Loser MBA Moscow keeps the ninth position with 16 games lost.
