Second Stage Round 4: Szedeak - DEAC 91-82
Date: April 16, 2022
The game between closely ranked teams ended with bottom-ranked DEAC's (0-3) road loss to fourth ranked Szedeak (2-1) in Szeged 82-91 on Saturday. Szedeak made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American guard Tayler Persons (191-1995, college: Ball St.) who scored that evening 32 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international power forward Kristof Bognar (205-1994) supported him with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Even 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Josh Hagins (187-1994, college: UALR, agency: Haylett Sports) did not help to save the game for DEAC. Point guard Laszlo Polyak (191-1993) added 16 points for lost side. Four Szedeak and five DEAC players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Szedeak moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser DEAC still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Sopron KC and PVSK-Veolia. Szedeak will meet league's second-placed OSE Lions in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. DEAC will play against Kaposvari and hopes to get finally their first victory.
