Second Stage Round 6: Sopron KC - Szolnok 97-90

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Szolnok (2-3) against fifth ranked Sopron KC (2-3) on Wednesday night. Visiting Szolnok was defeated by Sopron KC in a tough game in Sopron 90-97. Sopron KC shot 61.0 percent from the field and made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American guard Teyvon Myers (188-1994, college: WVU) who led his team to a victory with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import point guard Myles Mack (178-1993, college: Rutgers) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Sopron KC's coach Kostas Flevarakis used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Croatian center Marjan Cakarun (204-1990) replied with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and American Markeith Cummings (198-1988, college: KSU) added 22 points in the effort for Szolnok. Five Szolnok players scored in double figures. Sopron KC moved-up to third place, which they share with Alba and Szolnok. Sopron KC will play against league's second-placed Kormend on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Szolnok will have a break next round.
