Regular Season Round 3: Vasas Akademia - Atomeromu 64-69

The biggest surprise of round 3 was guest Szekszard's (#5) road victory over Vasas Csata (#6) 69-64 on Saturday evening. Szekszard made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Vasas Csata turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by Vasas Csata helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Victoria Vivians (187, college: MSU) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The former international point guard Agnes Studer (169-1998) chipped in 13 points and 8 assists. Four Szekszard players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Schaquilla Nunn (190, college: Tennessee) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Katrina Pardee (173, college: WVU) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Vasas Csata's coach Milos Pavlovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Szekszard are looking forward to face BKG Prima (#10) in Szigetszentmiklos in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Vasas Csata will play on the road against Uni Gyor (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
