Regular Season Round 4: Kormend - Duna Aszfalt 74-75

The most exciting game of round 4 in the A Division took place in Kormend. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 9th ranked Kormend (1-2) to top-ranked Duna Aszfalt (4-0) 75-74 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Duna Aszfalt made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Dominican center Marques Townes (193-1995, college: Loyola, IL) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Slovenian Jaka Klobucar (198-1987) who added 15 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) during the contest. At the losing side American guard Wendell Mitchell (190-1997, college: Texas A&M) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and naturalized Nigerian power forward Godwin Omenaka (205-2000) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Duna Aszfalt have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Kormend at the other side dropped to the tenth place with two games lost. They share the position with DEAC. Duna Aszfalt are looking forward to face league's second-placed Szolnok at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kormend will play against Alba (#3) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
