Regular Season Round 4: MBA - Nika 72-64

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Nika (3-1) in Moscow on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by MBA (4-0) 72-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Nika. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Tatyana Petrushina (185-1990) who helped to win the game recording 12 points. The former international point guard Karina Nizamova (170-1992) contributed with 6 points and 6 assists for the winners. International power forward Raisa Musina (191-1998) replied with 21 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian Nevena Jovanovic (182-1990) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Nika. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MBA have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with UMMC and Dynamo K. Nika at the other side dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. MBA is looking forward to face UMMC (#3) in Yekaterinburg in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Nika will play at home against Neftyanik and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
