Very important is a road loss of second ranked Duna Aszfalt (4-2) against sixth ranked Alba (4-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Duna Aszfalt was crushed by Alba in Szekesfehervar 101-73. Alba dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Duna Aszfalt's 34. They outrebounded Duna Aszfalt 30-17 including 22 on the defensive glass. Alba players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. International point guard Adam Somogyi (191-2000) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and international swingman David Vojvoda (195-1990) chipped in 15 points and 7 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Serbian center Rastko Dramicanin (208-1986) with 16 points and American-Dominican center Marques Townes (193-1995, college: Loyola, IL) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Five Alba and four Duna Aszfalt players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alba moved-up to third place, which they share with ZTE KK and Duna Aszfalt. Alba will play against Bp. Honved (#13) in Budapest in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Duna Aszfalt will play at home against the league's leader Szombathely (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
