Regular Season Round 7: MBA - Samara 89-68
Date: November 2, 2022
No shocking result in a game when third ranked MBA (6-1) crushed 7th ranked Samara (2-5) in Moscow 89-68 on Wednesday. MBA looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Samara's players. It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard Karina Nizamova (170-1992) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 assists. The former international center Anastasia Logunova (193-1990, agency: LBM Management) accounted for 16 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four MBA players scored in double figures. The former international Daria Kolosovskaya (182-1996, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) came up with 20 points and the former international forward Daria Kurilchuk (181-1998, agency: LBM Management) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for Samara in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MBA maintains third place with 6-1 record behind leader Dynamo K., which they share with Nika. Loser Samara keeps the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Dynamo NR and Enisey. MBA will meet Enisey (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Samara will play against Neftyanik and hope to secure a win.
