Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Budapest: Vasas Csata (#7) and Ujbuda BEAC (#6). Ujbuda BEAC was defeated at home 74-86 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ujbuda BEAC. Vasas Csata made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Ujbuda BEAC 40-28 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ujbuda BEAC was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Serbian guard Nadija Smailbegovic (177-2001) who scored that evening 21 points and 4 assists and point guard Klaudia Papp (168-1995) supported her with 16 points and 5 assists. Four Vasas Csata players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists by Croatian center Ana Vojtulek (189) did not help to save the game for Ujbuda BEAC. Guard Barbara Angyal (171-2001) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vasas Csata maintains seventh position with 3-5 record. Ujbuda BEAC at the other side keeps the sixth place with four games lost. Vasas Csata will play against bottom-ranked PINKK-Pecsi (#12) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Ujbuda BEAC will play against Miskolc (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
