Regular Season Round 7: Kormend - Kaposvari 85-80

Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Kormend (4-2) defeated at home 9th ranked Kaposvari (3-4) 85-80 on Saturday. Kormend looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Siyani Chambers (183-1993, college: Harvard) fired 14 points and 8 assists for the winners. His fellow American import Mike Moore (203-1994, college: Mount Olive) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Kormend's coach Antonis Konstantinides allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American center Michael Hughes (203-1998, college: Duquesne) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and Croatian Tomislav Gabric (204-1995, agency: AltusBasket) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kormend. They moved-up to fifth place. Kaposvari at the other side keeps the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Atomeromu. Kormend will meet Sopron KC (#6) on the road in the next round. Kaposvari will play against Alba and hope to secure a win.
