The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of AEL (4-1) in Nicosia on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Apoel (6-0) 111-94. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of AEL. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 111-94. Apoel shot 60.6 percent from the field. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Apoel have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. AEL at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with Keravnos.
