Regular Season Round 9: DEAC - Szedeak 83-78

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when twelfth ranked DEAC (3-6) won against 11th ranked Szedeak (2-6) in Debrecen 83-78 on Saturday. Serbian swingman Djordje Drenovac (201-1992) nailed 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and guard Balint Mocsan (190-1997, college: Idaho St.) accounted for 22 points. DEAC's coach David Dedek used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Desi Washington (188-1992, college: St.Peter's) came up with 17 points and 9 assists and the former international power forward Kristof Bognar (205-1994) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Szedeak in the defeat. Four Szedeak players scored in double figures. DEAC moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Kaposvari. Loser Szedeak dropped to the twelfth position with six games lost. They share it with Bp. Honved. DEAC will meet at home higher ranked Kormend (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Szedeak will play against Szolnok (#3) and hope to secure a win.
