VTB-Youth League top team - MBA-2 (15-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Avtodor-2 (1-15) in Moscow 86-53. MBA-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Avtodor-2's 28. MBA-2 forced 29 Avtodor-2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Yegor Pokinko (185-2002, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) fired 19 points for the winners. Forward Kirill Esipov (195-2002, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Andrey Ivanov (199-2003) produced 14 points and 5 assists and forward Andrey Fedorov (198-2003) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MBA-2 have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-1 record. Avtodor-2 lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. MBA-2 will again meet at home bottom-ranked Avtodor-2 (#12) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Avtodor-2 will have a break next round.
