Everything went according to plan in Maykop where first ranked Dynamo-MGTU (9-1) beat 6th ranked Metallurg MGN (3-7) 68-62 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Dynamo-MGTU forced 19 Metallurg MGN turnovers. The best player for the winners was Ilia Aleksandrov (194-1981) who scored 28 points and 6 rebounds. Center Yuriy Kochnev (209-1989) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Power forward Sergey Bolotskikh (206-1990) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Sergei Kharitonov (204-1991) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Metallurg MGN players scored in double figures. Metallurg MGN's coach Artem Kurinnoy rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
