Regular Season Round 10: Cegledi - Atomeromu 58-91

Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Cegledi (1-10) was outscored at home by third ranked Szekszard (9-3) 91-58 on Wednesday. Szekszard dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Cegledi's 30 and made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Szekszard forced 20 Cegledi turnovers and outrebounded them 36-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American forward Ruthy Hebard (192, college: Oregon) notched 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American-British guard Sydney Wallace (175, college: Georgia Tech) supported her with 21 points and 5 assists. Four Szekszard players scored in double figures. Even 8 points and 7 rebounds by Croatian center Patricia Bura (190) did not help to save the game for Cegledi. American point guard Kiana Williams (173, college: Stanford) added 13 points for lost side. Cegledi's coach Kostas Keramidas gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Szekszard have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 9-3 record behind leader Sopron. Cegledi lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with ten games lost. Szekszard will meet league's second-placed Uni Gyor on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cegledi will play against Ujbuda BEAC (#7) and hope to win that game.
