No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Miskolc (8-2) crushed at home 11th ranked Cegledi (1-10) 85-59 on Sunday. Miskolc dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Cegledi's 26. They outrebounded Cegledi 47-25 including a 37-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Miskolc looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Cegledi's players. The former international center Angelika Kiss (192-2001) notched 15 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and British forward Cheridene Green (191-1995, college: Tennessee) supported her with 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Miskolc players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 4 assists by American point guard Kiana Williams (173, college: Stanford) did not help to save the game for Cegledi. Canadian forward Samantha Cooper (189-1995, college: Fairfield) added 16 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Miskolc moved-up to fourth place, which they share with PEAC-Pecs. Cegledi lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with ten games lost. Miskolc will meet at home FCSM Csata (#8) in the next round. Cegledi will play against Ujbuda BEAC and hope to win that game.
